Young Muslim Man Healed by Jesus - In Jesus - 09-03-2013

I prayed for a young Muslim man at work today in the stairwell. I was walking upstairs to use the washroom as the one on my floor was full, and noticed him walking up the stairs above me, limping. I stopped him and asked what happened to him. He said he had injured it playing soccer last night with a bunch of friends, one of them kicked it by accident and it was now swollen and sore. He started to show me by lifting up his pant leg.

I just said: "Ok, watch this."

I put my hand on his calf, then commanded it to be healed in Jesus' name and all pain and swelling to go.

Well, Jesus healed it instantly!

He was quite dumbfounded at first. I got to share the truth with him briefly: "Do you know how that happened?" I pointed upward and said: "Jesus, the Son of God, He did it."

He was nodding his head 'yes' at first, then stopped, thinking about it briefly, and started shaking his head 'no' then said: "Oh, I am a Muslim. He wasn't the Son of God. He was a prophet."

Me: "Jesus Christ is the Son of God (Luke 22:70, John 10:31-38). He said He was the Way, the Truth and the Life, and that no one comes to the Father in Heaven but through Him (John 14:6). He heals through me because I have Him as my Lord and Savior, He lives inside of me (Gal. 2:20), and I believe what He said I would do if I am a believer in Him (John 14:12, Mark 16:17-18). Jesus did these same miracles when He walked the earth and now does them through His believers. The miracles testify that His message was true and that He was who He said He was (John 14:11). He said that He and the Father were One (John 10:30), and that if you have seen Him, you have seen the Father (John 14:7-11)."

Him: "He was not the Son of God, but a prophet, or a messenger of God and a good man."

Me: "Why were you healed when I prayed for you if Jesus was just a prophet."

He said that he prays for people and they get healed too. I knew he had to be telling a lie, so I confronted him about it and asked: "You pray for people and they get healed? Are you sure, or are you just saying that? When was the last time you prayed for someone and they were healed right away?"

He back peddled and said: "Ok, they don't get healed right away. That's because it takes time."

I retorted: "Why were you just healed instantly then?"

He paused briefly, with nothing to say back other than: "He was a messenger of God and we should follow His teaching."

I decided to go along with his line of thinking: "Ok, Jesus is a prophet, right?"

Him: "Yes."

Me: "Can a prophet lie?"

Him: "No."

Me: "Then what He said was true. He is the Way, the Truth and the Life, and no one comes to the Father in Heaven but through Him. You need to get a Bible and read what He said then. I know you read the Koran, but get a Bible and read that, ok? Read the New Testament."

We smiled at each other and shook hands good bye. He seemed very thankful and mentioned that he loves talking about this kind of stuff. I asked him how the leg was doing before leaving him and he said it was good.

Reveal the truth to him, Lord! The seed is planted... Thank You, Jesus!

Grace, peace and love in Jesus Christ!
