In Jesus - 12-23-2012 - A tear and a kiss

I was at Walmart before heading over to my parent's place for dinner and got to pray for a man in a wheel chair. He had osteo arthritis. His hands were starting to twist up. He also had these sores on his skin but I'm not sure what they were. They were on his face and hands. Pretty much any of his exposed skin. I was in the check out when I noticed them (him and a female), waiting just past the check out lines at the front of the store by the greeter. I approached them and asked what was wrong. Why he was in the wheel chair. He had explained the infirmity that was on him. I asked what the pain level was at, but he said he was feeling pretty good right now as he had taken something to kill the pain. His name was Neil. I forget her name. I explained "I pray for people and God heals them. Can I pray for you? Would you like to be healed?" He seemed thankful and said yes. With his permission, I took his hand that was already starting to twist up, covered in these little bumpy sores, into my hands and looked at him and commanded the spirit of arthritis to leave him. I commanded all pain to leave him. I took authority over every infirmity and commanded it OUT with soft but forceful voice and finished it up with "in Jesus' name". I could see a tear start to roll down out of his right eye. I asked him how he felt and if he felt any different. He took my hands to his face and kissed them. It was quite evident how thankful and hopeful he truly was. He said he would know after. I am guessing he meant after the medication wore off. I believe he is healed. God's word don't lie, Mark 16:18. You know, I don't know why, but I completely forgot to ask him to get up and try walking. It wasn't like I was in unbelief and thinking he wouldn't be able to. It was just a thought that was completely absent from my mind. Next time, I guess. Maybe I gotta slow down and actually love on these people more than I am. Mind you, I was late for dinner and in a bit of a rush to get there. Help me to be more like you, Lord. It sure blessed me to see his reaction though. I asked the female how she was doing and if there was anything I could pray for her for, but she was fine. I also asked Neil if there was anything else. He said no too. We parted ways wishing each other a Merry Christmas. God is good!

Stop for the one. It might not be perfect all the time, but we never know the impact we have on people, even in that short amount of time.

In Jesus - 12-21-2012 - End of the world

So, for the end of the world today I got to pray for and bless a couple people. I think this is good. For the last couple of months I haven't been making too much extra effort in stepping out to share the gospel of the kingdom in word or by deed (ie, healing the sick). I feel it is time to step that up again. I desire to be more fruitful in the Lord. I think you will see more updates from me in the coming months. I hope that it may encourage some of you who read this blog (Matt. 5:16, Heb.10:24).

At lunch break, I met Rick and Denise. Rick was in a motorized chair/buggy and had MS on him. They were fellow Christians. I got to lay hands on Rick and command healing into his body and the MS out. I also shared some with them in how I believe the scriptures show that it is always God's will to heal. Rick was thankful for the prayer and said that he had felt better after it. I did not have him try to walk though. I should have. But they were in a bit of a rush to get going after our talk. I will try to remember to press for that next time.

On my way home from work I met a man named Bill whom I had prayed for last August. He was having back pains again. I laid my hand on his back and commanded the pain to leave in Jesus' name. He reported it being much better afterwards and was really blessed and thankful. As was I.

I forget how much of a blessing it is to myself when I step out to give people a blessing from the Lord as a son of light in the kingdom of God.

Thank you for using me today, Father! MORE!

In Jesus - 12-20-2012 - leg grows, pain goes, some renewing comes.

After work today I was talking with a brother in Christ in the front lobby of the building. I noticed that he was putting his hand on his back so I asked him about back pain. I had prayed for him a few months before and it left. He said it was back. Well, Jesus grew out his leg today and took the pain away again. I love that! It encouraged him to be able to do the same for his own family. His mother was in hospital with a growth in her stomach and they fear it is cancer. I shared with him...

...how we are all, as believers, to be able to lay hands on the sick and see them recover (Mark 16:17-18). We all, as believers, will do the same works as Jesus did and even greater works because He went to the Father (John 14:12) and sent the Holy Spirit to live inside of us (John 16:7). The Holy Spirit is the anointing that abides (1 John 2:27). He does not leave you (John 14:16). You always have the anointing in you. It is just that our minds have to be renewed to the truths found in the word of God as to who we are in Him and who He is in us. Renew our minds and we will be able to prove the good and perfect will of God (Romans 12:2). Part of that will is that the sick should be healed and set free from the oppression of the devil. God was with Jesus and He went about doing good, healing all oppressed by the devil, and if you are a born again believer, He is with you too so that you can do the same (Acts 10:38). Just take authority over the works of the devil (Luke 10:19) in the believer, non-believer or dead person, commanding the sickness or unclean spirit out, and their bodies to be healed, made whole, or to receive life in Jesus' name. The prayer of faith to save the sick (James 5:15) is talking about the faith of the person praying, not the person receiving the prayer.

What do you think? Do you think it's a good time to get your mind renewed? Are you wanting to see God move powerfully through you and giving others a real encounter with the God who lives inside you and desires for them to be saved, healed, and set free? Aside from reading the word of God, believing what you read, and doing it, listening to these can help get you there too. Sometimes lies or incorrect thinking regarding healing and things of the kingdom have to be addressed directly. That is where these teachings can really help: http://www.amostvehementflame.org/p/kingdom.html
