"What a wonderful Christmas gift" - In Jesus - 12-24-2013

Today I was going to go for a walk to the local postal outlet to pick up my dad's gift that had been delivered there and I was just at the door about to leave when I believe the Lord gave me an impression that there was a person begging for money at a specific corner which I knew I would be going by. I had the thought that I was to bring a small gift of cash with me to bless him for Christmas. I wanted to be obedient so I did so. I also thought to make him a mix of dried cranberries, almonds and pecans as well. Putting the money in a small ziplock bag with the mixed nuts, I also added a couple gospel tracts and then left my apartment.

On my walk to the postal outlet I found a set of Skull Candy ear buds on the road. Score! I needed a new pair of ear buds. A set of Klipsch S4i Rugged ear buds (Really good!) I had previously, had broken, and I didn't really want to, or felt that I could afford the money to replace them. Thank You Lord Jesus for the early Christmas gift! haha!

I continued on my way and noticed a girl up ahead coming out of a store who had a winter hat on which had a pink skull on either side of her head. As I approached I asked the Lord in my heart if there was anything I could bless her with as in praying for healing for her, or a word. I didn't hear anything immediately and walked past her. I got about 20 feet away and started to feel a pain in my back on the left side. I turned back to ask her if she had any back problems. I could tell she was very uninterested in anything I had to say as she looked at me briefly when I initially asked then she continued walking past me saying "No" without looking back. I followed her slightly explaining that I thought the Lord had told me she did and that I pray for people for healing. She continued on, with her back toward me, and said "Well, I don't need any prayers". I just said "Ok" and let her go.

I got to the corner I had thought the Lord told me about and sure enough there was a young man there with a sign waiting for traffic to stop at the light in hopes that someone might give him some change. I approached him and told him that I felt that God told me to bring this for him, handing him the bag of mixed nuts with the cash visible side up. I told him there was money in there pointing to it and he commented on how he could see that. I also explained that there were some gospel tracts in there explaining about how to have a relationship with God. He seemed somewhat indifferent and said he knew the Lord already. I asked him how he was doing and if he was dealing with any pain or sickness in his body, telling him about how I like to pray for people for healing. He said he was on methadone for the last 8 years. I didn't know what that was for so I asked him, thinking it was for pain, if it was for back pain. He explained how he was on it because he used to be addicted to heroine and they give it to people to help them with withdrawal symptoms. I asked him if he wanted to be free from that. He said he didn't, so I asked why. He seemed to get a little agitated and just said "Because I don't want to". I asked "Shouldn't you be coming off of that too if it was just to help with withdrawal symptoms"? He nodded yes while sort of shrugging his shoulders. I questioned him further about how he thought he knew the Lord and asked him about denying himself and putting to death his sins. He said "No way". I shared with him about repentance and that the word says that if we love the Lord we keep His commandments, and how we become holy and pure as He is holy and pure if we know Him, because His grace teaches us to do so. I admonished him a little about how we need to examine ourselves to be sure that we are in the faith. And shared that if we don't know what the word of God says, and follow it, we can be deceived and not walk as we should, explaining that we don't want to get to God in that last day finding that we were lacking. He seemed to listen intently at this point and in the end agreed with me. He thanked me for the gift and I wished him a Merry Christmas shaking his hand and then left him to continue on to the postal outlet.

I walked beside a coffee shop and noticed a woman with a walker coming out from there heading to the side walk that I was on. I approached her to ask about pain and she commented "Can you tell"? Looking at me with a smile on her face. I asked what she was dealing with and she explained that she was born with a bone deformity and now had arthritis and her feet were really hurting her. I told her I pray for the sick and Jesus heals them and she let me pray for her. I took her hand and in the name of Jesus Christ, I commanded her body to be healed, her bones to come into alignment and for all arthritis and pain to leave her body and feet. Also speaking to any unclean spirits breaking off their hold and commanding them to leave her. It was just a short 20 or 30 second prayer. I finished up and asked her how she felt. She said with a surprised expression "You know, its actually better"! I asked if there was any pain left and she said "No, it's pretty much gone". I laughed and said "Praise Jesus"! She thanked me and said "What a wonderful Christmas gift"! I found out that she was a believer too, so as I explained about how I believed she would not have to deal with that any longer and that if it started to want to come back on her, how she can command it to go from her in Jesus' name and to continue to thank the Lord for healing her. We parted ways, but I ended up running into her again at the postal outlet store and spoke with her some more and she shared about how amazed she was that it was so much better. Thank You Lord!

After picking up my parcel I stopped at an unsaved friend's place to give him a Christmas gift of some chocolates, some coffee and some honey garlic pepperonis, and then went for a walk. After my walk, I decided to stop at a grocery store to buy some salad and some other things for dinner. I found a $16 full lobster on sale for $8.88 so I bought that for my dinner. Mmmm, it was so good :D Haven't had that in years! While I was at the grocery store I met a man who was walking with his cart and seemed to be in a lot of pain. I approached him and he indicated how he was in a lot of pain and had MS. He let me pray and as I prayed he said he felt tingles all over his body and felt much better. He was a believer too. It really amazes me how many Christians I tend to minister to out and about. I will usually question them though, to see if they believe they are born again and have the Spirit of God inside them, being restored to God, and that they are sure they will go to heaven when they pass, just to be sure there isn't something to share on regarding a correct walk and relationship with the Lord.

So that was my Christmas eve day. It was a good day.

Thank You, Lord!

I want to ask that anyone who might be reading this to pray for me as well. I seem to be dealing with some health issues that continue to linger and they must and will go. But I do covet your prayers, and thank you for standing with me. God bless you all and Merry Christmas!

Grace, peace and love in Jesus Christ!
