Hello Friends,
I want to let you all know that I am going to be attending a Supernatural Ministry DTS (Discipleship Training School) through YWAM (Youth with a Mission) Alternatives Network in Toronto starting September 25th, 2011. I have sought the Lord about this and I feel He has spoken that I am to go. I have had in my heart to do missions work for some time now and it is time to take that first step.
The DTS consists of 5 months of intense training. 3 months of classroom teaching, training and mentoring as well as I am told some outreach opportunities in the Toronto area. This is followed by 2 months of an overseas outreach in Thailand to reach human trafficking victims with the love of God. The DTS also provides a student with 20 university credits towards getting a bachelors degree with the University of the Nations.

Of course I am writing this note as I am wondering if any of you would like to help support me as I go. The DTS cost is $3,495 for the 3 month classroom section, which included tuition, food, and accommodations. The 2 month overseas outreach to Thailand costs $3,500 for airfare and ground fees. I am selling my vehicle (once I have some body repairs done) to pay off my debt and to obtain part of the funds needed. Depending on how much I am able to sell my car for, I should still need another $1,000 to $2,000 to make it. Also, I need to make the first payment of $1,200 by August 25th, next week. Short notice, I know. I hope to have my car sold before I go in September. If I am unable to sell my vehicle, I would still like to go, but I would obviously need more funds then. I trust God will provide as it seems pretty clear He is directing me to go.
